Thousands of people die homeless every year on the streets of America's cities, a passive persecution of the mentally distraught in our communities. In February of 2008, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors approved the installment of five sidewalk memorial markers at the exact locations where those individuals left this world homeless, the first monument of its kind in the world.
